Direct Bonding

Bonding is the application of a special resin that can be shaped and hardened to fix broken, chipped or discoloured teeth. It can be used to change the shape and colour of existing teeth to improve aesthetics. This makes it a great solution for a chipped front tooth or for a more economical smile makeover

Unlike porcelain veneers that have to be made by the lab, bonding can be done in one office visit. Once the tooth is prepared, the bonding resin which can be shaped and smoothed until it is the desired shape. Then the material is hardened with a special light.

Once it’s fully hardened, the bonding resin can be further shaped and trimmed. Then it is polished until it matches your natural teeth.
